Are You Retirement Ready?

Stash is a personal finance app that makes investing easy and affordable. With Stash, every American can build wealth and achieve their financial goals.

The philosophy behind the building of Stash was that everyone needs to have access to investing.

Fractional shares enable one to invest in the stock market with $5 or less. Additionally, Stash has investment and saving tools like the Stock-Back Card, which has enabled more than 5 million people to reach their financial goals.

Is Stash Safe?

Stash is legit and gives you guaranteed security for your cash and the investments you make. Stash uses cutting-edge security features and works to keep your spending safe and secure.

Also, it is a registered investment advisor with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). It provides FDIC-insured bank accounts through Green Dot Bank.

How does Stash work

With Stash app, you can build wealth for the long term. So how does it work?

Answer a few questions

On joining Stash, you answer some questions that enable them to know you and understand your financial goals. It helps you get specific advice that is useful for investing and budgeting.

  • Pick a plan

The subscription plan you pick can be $1 per month. Stash enables you to gain access to investing with a personal brokerage account, Stock-Back Card, budgeting and saving tools, advice, and education.

You can get life insurance through Avibra. Based on your account, you can open an individual retirement account (IRA) and investment accounts for kids.

  • Add money to Stash

The good thing is that Stash allows you to add money either automatically or manually. It will only take you five minutes to set up a direct deposit and send either all or part of your paycheck to Stash. You can even receive your paycheck up to two days earlier.

  • Bank, budget, and set goals

Stash has automatic budgeting and saving tools that help organize your cash into different spaces, set goals, and track your expenditure.

  • Invest

With your cash in Stash, you have an option to invest it in fractional shares, which allows you access to thousands of stocks and ETFs with $5 or less or use your Stock-Back Card to make purchases and earn stock on Stash as you spend.

The best thing to remember is that Stash is built for the long-term and not day-trading. Therefore, all of the market transactions execute during four trading windows each weekday.

Market conditions determine the availability of trading windows and are subject to limitations.

  • How much does Stash cost?

There are three easy plans for your long-term investing with Stash, starting at as low as $1 per month. The three plans are Stash Beginner, Stash Growth, and Stash+.

Stash Beginner

It will cost you $1 a month. It comes with a personal investment account, the Stock-Back Card, saving tools, personalized advice, and $1,000 of life insurance coverage through Avibra. If you are a first-time budgeter or investor, Stash Beginner can work for you.

Stash Growth

It will cost you $3 per month. The plan includes a personal investment account, the Stock-Back Card, saving tools, personalized advice, and a Roth or Traditional retirement account (IRA).

Additionally, the plan guarantees $1,000 of life insurance coverage through Avibra. Stash Growth is the ideal plan for someone who wants to expand their long-term wealth-building plan.

Stash+

The plan costs $9 per month. Ideally, it includes a personal investment account, a Stock-Back Card that earns double stock, saving tools, personalized advice, a Roth IRA or Traditional IRA retirement account.

Additionally, you get investment accounts for kids, $10,000 of life insurance coverage through Avibra, and an exclusive monthly market insights report.

Why is there a monthly fee on Stash?

Stash gives you access to your money needs in a simple and transparent way. We can draw an analogy to how one can pay a flat-rate to a music streaming service to access millions of songs.

By paying a flat fee of $1, $3, or $9 every month, you get access to fractional share investing, a debit card that will earn you stock when you spend, financial advice, and many other benefits depending on your plan.

With Stash, you are guaranteed that there is no hidden fee, and every plan is straightforward. Stash understands how awful predatory fees from financial services can be.

For instance, in 2019, Stashers, who paid at least one external bank fee, paid an average of $382/year in overdraft fees to their other banks. That is why Stash is about transparency and making everything simple and accessible.
