East Dundee is a village in Kane County, Illinois, United States. The population was 6,164 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area and the Illinois Technology and Research Corridor. The village was founded in 1855 by George Blair and James H. Brierly, who built a sawmill there. The village was originally called Blair's Mills, but was renamed East Dundee in 1873. East Dundee is located at (42.060964, -88.339609).
