Success leaves clues. Finance Strategists sat down with Simone Mordenti, founder of Dove Investire. He shared his thoughts on the past, present, and future of the company, as well as the insight he has gained from running the business. Q: Who are you and what is your background? My name is Simone Mordenti. I was born in Cesena in 1974. I’m a lover of sports and good food. After a first experience in the world of information technology, in the early 2000s, I took my first steps in the world of finance with some investments in the stock markets. A few years later, I started collaborating with a software house for the creation and marketing of trading systems on stock market indices (Dax and FtseMib). During these years I gained experience in the financial sector by following training courses with some of the best-known traders in the sector. In 2010, I made the decision to open the first portal dedicated to trading and investments, called Dove Investire. In the following years, the network and collaborators have increased. Today, the group includes both finance experts and journalists. The perseverance, commitment, and passion dedicated towards this project have allowed Dove Investire to become a primary reference site in Italy for investments and online trading. Q: Who has been your biggest influence, and why did they have such a significant effect on you? My freelance skills that have resulted in the creation of the site are a direct result of being surrounded by great people, including entrepreneurs, finance experts. There were also many mutual friends of my growing network who offered sound advice on the right direction to go. I’d have to say there isn’t one particular person to thank, but too many to list. Q: Knowing what you know now, what advice would you have given your younger self? The bet to start a business that directly followed my passions turned out to be a good one. I have no regrets about the learning path I followed to get where I am. Every life experience has allowed me to grow. If I were to offer any advice, it would be to follow your passions and interests. Q: What is DoveInvestire? Dove Investire ( DoveInvestire.com ) is a reference site for finance, economics, and trading. It is made up of a team of professionals from different sectors, united to share their passion and training in a portal where everyone can acquire the right knowledge in the world of finance and trading. Dove Investire aims to become a point of reference for all people who intend to direct their investments with greater profits and security. It aims to raise awareness and address the world of investments in a conscious way with the best solutions. There are many topics covered on the site; stock market, forex, commodities, cryptocurrencies, investment certificates, and a growing collection of educational articles that allow a visitor to learn as much as they want about the world of trading and investments. In a complicated world like that of finance and investments, the Dove Investire portal stands out for its simple completeness. Every investor, even without any experience, can find the information they need there. The Dove Investire team is also active in providing support to anyone who needs help or useful advice. These are both factors that set us apart from our competitors. Q: What led you to start Dove Investire? As mentioned earlier, the desire to share my knowledge and my skills in this sector led me to start this great project. It has been great satisfaction along the way. Q: What has the experience of building a business taught you? The process of creating a new project and seeing it grow day by day is the greatest satisfaction for me. Though I would also say that starting a business from scratch is both exciting and scary. Now, years later and thanks to the continued success of the site, higher self-esteem has also been a pleasant side effect. Q: Where do you see things are headed for you and the company over the next 5 years? The trials in this world are many and seem to always grow more difficult. Having said that, I believe that the strength of the group will lead us to achieve even greater goals and success as time goes on. The Dove Investire team has grown steadily since its inception and the forecast for the next 5 years is to increase both the staff and structure. The project is to remain faithful to our themes but to expand the sections and services offered. The Dove Investire portal now exceeds one million page views per month. Our goal for the next 5 years is to reach 10 million unique visitors per month. A ten-fold increase. That’s a lot, but I truly feel it is doable. Il successo lascia indizi. Avviare una attività imprenditoriale da zero mi eccitava ma mi spaventava. Ora, a distanza di anni e grazie ai risultati ottenuti, anche l’autostima acquista è un vantaggio aggiunto. D: Sapendo quello che sai ora, che consiglio avresti dato al tuo io più giovane? La scommessa di avviare una attività imprenditoriale seguendo le mie passioni mi rende molto felice. Non ho rimpianti sul mio percorso di apprendimento. Ogni esperienza di vita mi ha permesso di crescere. Se dovessi dare un consiglio, sarebbe segui le tue passioni e interessi. D: Cosa ti ha portato ad avviare Dove Investire? Come ho raccontato all’inizio dell’intervista, la voglia di condividere le miei conoscenze e le mie capacità in questo settore, mi hanno portato ad avviare questo grande progetto dal nome Dove Investire. La voglia di creare un progetto e vederlo crescere, è una grande soddisfazione. D: Cosa ti ha insegnato l'esperienza di costruire un business? Le mie doti da freelance, l’essere circondato da grandi persone, tra cui imprenditori, esperti di finanza, ma anche amici comuni, mi hanno dato la giusta direzione da percorrere. Non c’è una persone che dovrei ringraziare, ma ce ne sono tante. D: Dove vedi che le cose sono dirette per te e per l'azienda nei prossimi 5 anni? Le prove in questo mondo sono tante e sempre più difficili. Credo che la forza del gruppo ci porterà a conquistare ancora grandi obbiettivi. Il team di Dove Investire è cresciuto negli anni e la previsione per i prossimi 5 anni è quella di aumentare l’organico e la struttura. Il progetto è quello di rimanere fedeli alle nostre tematiche ma ampliare le rubriche e i servizi offerti. Se oggi il portale di doveinvestire com ha superato il milione di pagine viste al mese, l’obbiettivo dei prossimi 5 anni è di raggiungere i 10 milioni di visitatori unici al mese. Sono tanti, è vero, ma le scommesse mi stimolano.
