Introduction

Success leaves clues.

Finance Strategists sat down with Tim Justice, Chief Operating Officer of Tackle Trading. He shared his thoughts on the past, present, and future of the company, as well as the insights he has gained from running the business.

Who is Tim Justice?

Q: Who are you and what’s your background?

My name is Tim Justice, I am the Chief Operations Officer at Tackle Trading. I have worked for 17 years in the education industry as a personal coach, mentor, and instructor.

Q: Who has been your biggest influence, and why did they have such a significant effect on you?

My biggest influence has been my brother, Matt Justice, who co-founded Tackle Trading with me and two other partners, Gino Poore, and Noah Davidson. Matt is a driver, and a leader, and he has challenged me to improve and get results. Having a partner that will give me honest feedback, critique, and work side-by-side has been a big part of my success.

Q: Knowing what you know now, what advice would you have given your younger self?

Build timeless content that will provide value regardless of what happens in the future. And read - a lot.

Business

Q: What is Tackle Trading?

Tackle Trading is an online education company that teaches individuals how to trade and invest in the stock and options market

Q: What separates Tackle Trading from its competitors?

We provide 1-on-1 support and work through many mediums to help our students. Webinars, Discord, phone support, coaching, online courses, blogs, podcasts, videos, and live streams on YouTube. There are a lot of ways people can learn. And we make it fun!

Q: What led you to start Tackle Trading?

The company we were working for was not providing the depth of content and support we wanted to give our students, so we built it ourselves.

Q: What has the experience of building the business taught you?

There will be challenges, some of them are logistical, some operational, and some are just human. You have to keep pushing on regardless of the problems.

Q: Where do you see things headed for you and the company in the next five years?

We're launching new courses, introducing new coaching programs, building new verticals, and expanding our business-to-business relationships. We will also be doing more hybrid events, where there are online and live in-person options for students.
